There are a increasing numbers of useful resources if you are interested in developing your own Somatics kowledge and practice.

  • Books will give you a background into the development of Somatics and often show you different somatic movements, although following the directions from a written account, even with pictures, can be difficult.
  • There are also a growing number of Somatics videos.  Some are available on You Tube, and others from Somatics websites.  These are useful to watch and gain deeper knowledge about the Somatic exercises.
  • There are also several helpful websites around which give you background information as well and blogs and other resources.  Most are American based but the principles remain the same.  Some even have resources to sell and offer audio tapes of the movements, which I find is the best way of practicing at home.
